Narumiya, an established snack company in Japan, approached Senior Designer Emma to create bespoke packaging for their new CoroCoro rice crackers brand. The brief was to make the packaging appeal to the UK high-end market and successfully launch them into deli's, gastro pubs and supermarkets such as Whole Foods. Emma was asked to design packaging that emphasised their unique selling point - that they are the only authentically Japanese gluten-free rice crackers on the market. After presenting several concepts, the client chose a stylish typographic route, with bright pops of colour and hand drawn illustrative type.
